An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our clients Facilities Team as a Handyperson.  The successful candidate will resolve general repairs and maintenance tasks and a range of other practical requests that come into the department via the Facilities helpdesk system.  Ensuring a solutions focused approach to each request, across a multi-site operation based in St Andrews

 

This is a full time, 12 month- fixed term position working 35 hours per week with the possibility of extending the booking for the right candidate. You will be employed through Key Personnel.

As this is a multi-site role a successful candidate will need to have their own vehicle

 

Duties will Include :-

  • Actively monitor and promptly resolve facilities Helpdesk requests which may include basic DIY, painting, general repairs basic manual handling
  • Escalating issues which require specialist attention to the Maintenance Manager
  • Follow routine building maintenance checklist across the estate to identify issues ensuring our properties are well maintained
  • Be the first point of and responsible for contractors whilst on site which includes meeting on arrival, signing-in and shown to the area they will be working in and signing them out on satisfactory completion of the works
  • Provide additional support at our Warehouse facility, signing in deliveries and loading and unloading goods for delivery

 

About You:

• You have practical experience in a range of maintenance and repair tasks.
• You have good problem-solving skills and can work independently when required.
• You’re a team player with a flexible attitude, willing to take on a variety of tasks as needed.
• You take pride in your work and aim to complete jobs to a high standard.
• You have a positive attitude and good communication skills.
• A full driving license and the ability to operate maintenance equipment is preferred.
